Introducing...The Book Club

Updated: Nov 28, 2020

WHO IS THE COORDINATOR?

Hello everyone! This is Ellie Sohn, the organizer and main coordinator/teacher of eloquentEllie. To provide you with a short excerpt of my life, I am a 8th grader currently who goes to the private school, Flintridge Preparatory School. I have been a avid reader since 2nd grade and I'm still going strong! I have tutored and coordinated book clubs in the past, and now I want to bring it public and online.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE CLUB?

Student Book Club

Moving on from me, this book club could either help get through higher levels of reading, encourage students to read, and/or help them gain a deeper understanding and respect for "reading". Our services are flexible on what you prefer. If you want a tutoring type of class, we could do that. If you wanted a more free, open-ended discussion club meeting, we could also do that. This book club can be done in Korean and English. Note: Both English and Korean students are welcome.

Moms Book Club

We also have a book club for moms! Moms would get together and discuss books. This book club would be coordinated by Teacher Oh aka, my mom. This would be a healing time for mothers to get together have virtual coffee and have discussions. Note: Only Korean-speaking moms are welcome.

WHEN IS THE CLUB AND WHAT IS THE PRICE?

We would always have classes on every Monday at 6:00 pm or 8:30 pm for a hour. However, depending on the client's schedule, we could always try to adjust. You don't have to commit and could come and try one class for no fee. The price would vary but wouldn't venture over $5 a class.
