Introducing...The Speech Club

WHO IS THE TEACHER?

Hello everyone! I am Ellie Sohn, the teacher of the speech club. I'm an 8th grader who goes to the private school, Flintridge Preparatory School. I have been doing NSDA style speech and debate for 6 years now. I have won in the middle school nationals and have won in major tournaments at Stanford and UC Berkeley. I've judged at several tournaments for other younger students too. I'm on the school speech and debate team.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE CLUB?

I can teach either NSDA style speech and debate: https://www.speechanddebate.org/, a nationally recognized style. But, I also can teach presentational speaking. Such as:

• How to speak in front of a crowd

• How to have fun speaking

• How to help with stage fright

• Enunciation

• Script reading in musicals at school

• Acting

• Help with school presentations

• Hand gestures and facial expressions

WHEN IS THIS CLUB AND HOW MUCH?

This club is held according to the clients schedule. We will provide at least 5 different time slots for clients. The club is no fee-very cheap (about $5).
